This view is from the picnic area overlook.

The Smith Rock Group is to the left of
the gap in the wall known as Asterisk Pass.
The Christian Brothers, Dihedrals and the
south side of Shiprock are to the right
with the Crooked River winding below.

The majority of the trees on the left side
of the river were destroyed in the August
1996 fire.
